A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy novel by Madeleine L'Engle, first published in 1962. It follows the story of Meg Murry, her brother Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin O'Keefe as they embark on a journey through time and space to rescue Meg's missing father from an evil force. The book is the first in the Time Quintet series and won the Newbery Medal in 1963.
