Bi-material leather and a pastel colour scheme were used to create the Air Jordan 1 Low Ice Blue. The colour scheme for these pairings is white and Ice Blue .

Additionally, it is made of white leather with sky blue leather overlays. The outsole was white and light blue, repeating the colour of the upper, and there is a wing logo on the heel. It has a cushioned encapsule technology unit on its sole.

The Air Jordan 1 Low was originally released in several colourways, mirroring the High releases and served as a casual take on the signature high-top. Apart from basketball players, there was another group who immediately took to the AJ1 Low - skateboarders. The skateboarders found that the low-top was more comfortable for tricks.
