Hi everyone. We have seen in recent weeks many posts were priced notably higher than average. To those who have been using FreeUp since we launched, you may already know that we have always envisioned FreeUp to be a trusting social platform for users to give and receive value among each other. We think the ongoing unjustified pricing inflation, if left uncurbed, will do no good for everyone on the platform. 

We are reinstating the price control rule on items posted on FreeUp with immediate effect. Details as follows:
1. Item priced in points or cash - value must not exceed the current resale market value
2. Item previously grabbed on FreeUp - value must not be 100 points higher than the previously grabbed value

Items that have been posted and not meeting the conditions above will be removed on Monday (24 August). Users who are repeat offenders of this rule may be banned from using FreeUp. 

Users who wish to report over-priced items, you can do so using the in-app report feature, and submit a link to prove the item is over-priced. Please do not submit over-priced reports through Support chat, as we would like to manage this with a better process.

We have taken some time to make this decision, as we wanted to get a better sense of reality from a broader group of users. We hope you will understand that we do not take policy-making at FreeUp lightly. We listen to our users, internally debate the pros and cons, and do our best to evolve rules that will serve our users well.
