It's a semi silk sari, very light and pleasing to touch, with a zari border in red all along. The pallu, too, is red, rather a deeper maroon with light zari work on it. Never worn.

Can imagine this sari being worn to a traditional function or a formal work event with equal ease, and a great variety of accessories would work well with this seemingly basic but elegant piece.
